All programs can be custom designed for your group or organization. Basic programs include but are not limited to:

 

Workshops

     

Mental Aerobics - maintaining brain fitness - This program ranges from a luncheon speaker, a one hour workshop, a four session workshop or retreat. It is a basic "care and feeding of your brain" - the foundation of brain fitness.

 

Where Did I Park My Car? - a basic session on memory - This program deals with issues of memory loss; the causes and a host of tried and tested ideas to keep memory sharp.

 

Successful Aging - a workbook of strategies - This program helps participants develop a skill set of mental/physical exercises, life review, creative/critical thinking, folk wisdom, and humor. It can be of any desired length from 30 minutes to a full retreat.

 

Stress reduction - developing a skill set - This program provides exercises and tips for including stress reduction techniques into your daily life. Too much stress can create many and varied health problems. Learn to control the stress in your life.

 

Seeing the Glass Half Full - Creating an Attitude of Gratitude - This program provides tips on how creating an attitude of gratitude can
help to strengthen your immune system and lead you to a happier, healthier life.

 

Leaving a Legacy - what do you want to be remembered for? - We all have material possessions to leave to those we love. What else do you want to leave? How do you want people to remember you? What can you do about making it happen?

 


 

Retreats

        

Retreats may be full day or overnight,
depending on the needs of your group.

 

Guided Autobiography - taking a look at your journey - This program offers a specific way to look at your life. By writing, you think about life experience and discover new insights and areas of your past life that influence your present life.

 

Holistic Living - incorporating Mind - Body - Spirit. We are holistic beings. We cannot separate the segments of ourselves. What we do in one aspect of our life has definite repercussions on all of our life. Learn how to complement all aspects of your life.

 

Creative and Critical Thinking - exploring your creativity - This program helps to recognize your creative gifts and how to use them personally and in a group situation.

 

Metacognition - learning about learning - what we know about how people learn increases daily. This program explores the theory and practice of "Multiple Intelligences" and "Learning Brain" research to make any learning environment more productive.

 

Leadership Training - what makes a good leader - This program defines leadership qualities and explores tools and techniques of a good leader. This may include Myers Briggs Type Inventory.

 

Women's Retreats - there is something different and special about getting together with women. We think, act, talk, behave in unique ways when we are together. Retreats for women are designed for your needs and may include such topics as: self care, life review, nurturing your creative self.

 

Older Adult Retreats - older adults can enrich and enhance their lives
by participating with others in learning, exploring, and enjoying themselves and each other. Activities are designed to lift spirits and create knowledge and deepen understanding of how successful aging enhances life.
